Geometric methods in classical fields theory

Geometric methods in classical fields theory Some geometric aspects of classical field theory are presented and topologically non-trivial field configurations are introduced and discussed from this point of view. The Spinor Index Theorem is proven in a way which permits at the same time a discussion of first-order quantum corrections, in particular the axial-current anomaly.
